As I continue to review and discuss the topics of my upcoming book “Success with Goals – Designing your Life with Purpose”, one of the topics that was brought up was the idea of 100% Responsibility. The verbiage I use here is from my Canfield Methodologies training, but I can assure you that every Self-Help Guru uses a similar concept.
You see, there can be no growth or development without the acceptance of 100% Responsibility by the student. It is the main over-arching principle that Jack Canfield starts with in his book “The Success Principles”, and similarly all personal development coaches offer this as a basis or a key principle in their coaching. Without ownership of 100% responsibility, none of the rest of the 67 Principles can work.
Setting the type of goals that will allow you to design the life you want, can be phenomenally rewarding. Let me also let you in on a little secret about life. Its true people are rewarded for achieving things in life, however the rewards system is not commensurate with the achievements or effort. What I mean is, if you achieve average performance, you might assume you’d get average rewards. However, that is not how it works. If you perform with average efforts, you will only earn poor rewards.
So, as we continue to review the content of my book, and some of the key take-aways from the book, we decided to continue the interview series with topics about my book. Today’s topic stems from the question why it is so important to Goal Setting.
Today’s topic of Mastermind Meetings was brought on as I have been working to build a local following here in my home town of Chandler, AZ. In doing so, I wanted to recreate a format of meetings that incorporates both professional and social components that I have attended and really felt would be an excellent opportunity to teach others.
So, for this weekly Blog and the advent of my upcoming book release, I wanted to take some time to answer some questions regarding the title of my book and some key components about the book that we have received.
